MPC1000 Fast Track Pro Logic 9

Is it possible to connect audio plugs from mpc1000 to fast track M-Audio interface and record the sequnce/song into logic 9?...

im new to hardware wiring and what will work or not... just wana get some insight before i go out and buy these cables l0l...

so is this possible?...ive tried messing around with it and i havent figured anything out yet...or do i need a mixer?... i have the midi chord going from the mpc to the interface and the interface going to the comp...

Which DAW software are you using with that interface?

Usually you will find the interface setup panel within your DAW so you can activate the various ins and outs.

Have you installed the latest drivers for the interface?

ya i have the latest software for the interface...what does DAW mean [ sorry if thats noob] but please feel free to enlighten me....

Digital Audio Workstation. DAW. Go midi in on MPC to midi out on Fast Trac.

okay kool...when i did that all i can do [that i kno of is] press play on logic and it plays on mpc...how will i record a sequence from mpc to logic...thanks for the help peeps

I have my MPC 1000 synced with Logic 9 via my Fast Track Ultra...

It's a bit fiddly and I'm actually not completely sure of the configuration as I actually turned it off recently but on MIDI SYNC I have the following settings;

Sync in: 1 (Slave)
Midi Clock

MMC: On

Sync Out: 1 (Master)
Midi Clock

MMC: Off

(using two midi cables, obv)

Looking at the settings it's kind of silly and actually probably not the best but as long as you got Logic 9 correctly set up too with the MIDI settings you should be able to figure out what works best. It all works pretty well when you make a drum beat on the MPC and want to use Logic to introduce melodies.

Make sure you got your audio ins/outs also correctly configured!
