I have a problem with my MPC1000

I can barely hear the sequences, but the pads hit just fine, and they record the tracks, but I can barely hear them, even with the volume all the way up. When I just play on the pads, it is loud.

Also, sometimes when I record tracks, it only plays one track at a time.. It is very odd.

Anyone else have this problem?

I just updated to the free JJOS..

Give us more details. Give us exactly what you have done, don't leave anything out... from headphones to mixer to if you move your machine lately.

I just turned on the mpc, autoloaded the the sounds that came from Akai, and the akai sequences..

Listening through my headphones.

I go to hit the pads, and the sounds hit fine. But, if I press play, to play the sequence, it is barely hearable. If I put the volume all the way up, I can hear it only a little bit. It is like that with all the sequences.. And if I record my own.

I just reformated my CF card, cause I updated to JJOS.. So, I am going to see if that fixes anything.

The problem with the one track playing at a time is weird too. It only hapens with my bigger CF card with my sounds.

did you check the velocity on the actual notes you recorded? i mean it would still be weird if this was the case but i guess it's possible that for some reason by default the velocity is really low.

lastly, what MPC do you have? blue one or do you have the black one with the pad fix?

Its not the velocity. It is just a real weird bug I think.. Cause, I have 2 Compact flash cards. One with all my preset programs and samples works fine. The one with all the Akai pre loaded stuff is the one that loads the sequences all funny. It happens with the pre loaded sequences, and when I make my own with the sounds on that CF card.

But when I put my other card with all my sounds in, it works fine. Which, I just found out.. So, it really isnt a big deal cause I dont use the pre loaded akai sounds.

My mpc is a black one, but without the new pads. It isnt the pads though, cause I will hit them, and the sounds come out fine. It just gets weird when I play the sequences.
