2500 tutorial

has anyone read the tutorial advertised on here?

is it worth the money? or does it tell many things you already know from reading up and using the mpc?

I bought the 2500 tutorial just a few weeks ago and have found it to be a worth while investment. It's certainly much more useful than the Akai manual.

If you are new to the MPC, for the money, I'd say go for it.

speaking of jjos..

im fine with the workflow of the akai os, except when it comes to **** glitches.

i dont mind losing programs THAT much..but when i lose a whole beat from the "wrong file" error, that pisses me off.

so i was ondering if they fixed those gliotches once and for all?

not sure why you would be happy with glitches.. but... I'd second the comment re making the jump. the 2500 is my first MPC, have had it a little over a year. When I first got it, I couldn't believe how retarded it was. I wasted a month before making the change to JJos2. A lot becomes clear after.

With the AkaiOS, the 2500 is a good machine. Although a 1000 would be better.
I haven't used a 4000 all the much, but have used the 5000 quite a bit. And I'd prefer a 2500 with JJOS every time.
So while you can use your 2500 with the os, I would suggest that you get into using. JJOS as soon as you can. I've not heard of too many people who regret that decision.

Whether or not the tutorial is worth ur money depends on ur experience.
I bought a digi-book once from the mpc tutorial site, and I read only 2 new things that were useful to me. If I had bought that book when I started making beats it would have been very useful to me.

If u want to get rid of the glitches but want to keep the akai workflow I'd suggest u try out the free jjos version. It's almost completly the same, but without the bugs and a few extra features that will improve ur (akai based) workflow.
