this is also bypassing the 3k converters.... maybe thats esoteric i dont know but worth remembering, guess i ll try it oldschool+3.50 first.

HOLD UP Zeus please bare with me.. iv followed your step to step picture instructions. but what im trying to do is convert some .wave files that i have in my hardrive and turn them into .snd files so i can than put them in my floppy disk and load them into my MPC3000. is that possible with this program.. thanks for your help man

if not CDXtract (also OSX) can convert to .snd afaik but programms... just ur wavs

cdxtract will convert .snd to wav, but not wav to .snd.

so can Rs-16x convert wave files into snd? after setting up the the kit in rs16x how do i export the snd files and

save all unsaved
save project as
save sequence set
save sequence set as
write to a file
import SMF
export sequence as SMF



and where do i go to locate the snd files to move to my floppy?

I said in my previous post -- Right-Click on the program and it allows you to export.

Make sure you are in the program tab, and your program is selected.

Yo just use mpc pgm maker, i wouldnt bother with the rs 16 for what you want to do.

its really easy, you drag sounds to pads, set the top right hand sectiong for wav > snd and export.

done.

havent used it in a few months, sorry if the description is a tad vague!
