Hey All,

I've been trying to find these answers around but nothin yet. I've got a 2k and looking to upgrade to a newer 1k, but am really curious about the sampler functionality. I really like to use continuous controllers from a midi controller knobby slider box to control sample volume, FX paramaters, etc. Are the 1k sound engine parameters controllable by external Midi CCs? Or do you have to use the qlink? I heard that with the newest JJ OS you can control some preset parameters - is that it? Or is the internal sound engine accesible to outside control? Any help would be appreciated as I want to buy one but really want to know what to expect in terms of live knob/slider control of sounds. Thanksssssss

The only things you can control From external cc's are filter cutoff and resonance (cc 71 and 74) in jj os2xl.

Thanks for the reply...

is it difficult to jump from sample to sample controlling volume with the qslider - as in juggling levels of looping samples?

The method by which you control various samples with q-links varies depending on which version of jj os you're using. I wouldn't consider any of them difficult. JJ has online manuals, you can get a feel for how easy or hard it will be to do what you want to do.
