MPC Quick Comands

My MPC crashes sometimes
when tapping the tap tempo or the bottom pads
the thing keeps playing but it just freezes up
is there a way to force quit a function
like on a mac when you hold apple pt esc.?

keep hitting save, load or open window have patience and should eventually catch up with itself....can i stress have patience? every time its crashed recently ive done this and it eventually worked....now when i think about the times i would just turn it off and those beats ive lost its just depressing!

true....i was about to turn mine off, then it caught up. I would have lost tones of shit....btw. that was the first time it happened to me.

maybe check out an OS update.

it only happens rarely to me and only when ive pressed too many buttons in too quick a succession...other than that the mpc is solid for me....

My MPC 2000 IS STUCK
im pressing open window and being calm
but its stuck in overdub mode
and i cant get it to stop
I dont want to loose this beat
but how long do i have to wait?

Try hitting disk > save, or loa, without doing either, that might override what's going on.

I ended up just shuting the machine
and losing what i had
I had my sounds saved so i just redid the beat
i was not too far into the beat yet
It was stuck in overdub mode for a good half hour
i hit the open window button
a million times
and the shit disk
shift save and every other button
nothing would make it stop playing
In the future i think the answer is not to
try and adjust things in record mode
I could nt get it to stop
