midi input channels

newbie question

is it possible to run an external sequencer like cubase and have the mpc 2500 tracks receive on individual midi channels. like sound modules do?
i'm just experiemnting withis setup but at the moment cubase midi parts just play what ever track i have currently selected in the mpc

try selecting different output MIDI channels in cubase. See if that does anything.
