Problem with "random" sample muting

Hello

on the MPC1000 I'm using ( it belongs to a friend), there's the following problem:

I've got a sequence with 3 tracks:

1 Drums
2 Bass
3 Synths

When I've got this specific sequence playing, if I go to the "Main" window and play samples on pads 13 and 14, it "mutes" samples on the other tracks (bass and synths). It even cuts the sound of these samples halway through.

I've got another sequence with other samples and programs loaded but with a similar layout, and this problem does not occur.

The OS is JJ v 4.82

Has this occured to you? Is there a fix or this?

update: the pads in question had percussion samples loaded on them, but with a long silence after the fade out (bad editing). I sliced them in the MPC and now the problem seems (need to do more extensive testing) to have disappeared.

Still, does it mean that the MPC cannot handle long samples played live while a sequence is playing back?
