"mpc-4000" vs. "mpc-4000le" vs. "mpc-4000 studio A" vs. "mpc-4000 studio D"

Is there a difference between the 4 models of of the mpc-4000? I know that the two 4000's named with "studio" have a cd burner in them...

does anyone know the other differences? Are there some real major differences between these models?

All i can find is the same list of specs for all 4 versions.... Thank you so much.

MPC 4000 LE has no drives and only 16 MB of memory
MPC 4000 is the unit with HDD, CD, and 256MB of memory
MPC 4000 Studio A Has HDD, CD, 256MB RAM and IB48P (8 out analog)
MPC 4000 Studio D has HDD, CD, 256MB RAM and IB4ADT (ADAT I/O) and IB4D (Digital I/O)

I am not positive but, I think that the IB4D is now standard on all MPC 4000
This info is for US market only.

Great info and you should check out akai website as each item is a optional add-on. Check out used models too for making past users desk out their gear with the extra memory and additions and you can get a cheaper price than buying new. Main thing consider how you are going to record to a MTR by digital or analog as far as the output. And how much sampling time as you need as far as memory. :D

awesome info, thank you....... looking on ebay, theres about 4 or 5 for sale, unfortunetly, when I ask the sellers about which version they are selling, none of them even know.... one guy got back to me and said "on bottom of unit it says , mpc4000 24/96 sampl w/60gbhd 256m"... still not sure what that is..... i guess I DONT want the LE model....

Anyone know another place to look for used 4k's besides ebay??

thanks!
