problem with pads/dat wheel!! please help !!!!!!!!!

ok, im a kinda newb, but anyways here is my problem:

when i turn it on, it loads up fine

but no sound comes out when i hit the pads and when i [mode] and push a pad, nothing happens..
also, the data wheel works perfectly, but if i move it down to the [type] midi/drum or [prog] part, the wheel doesnt work at all... im at a loss, it seems like i've locked it or somthing..

plz... plz.. anyone have any advice????????

Sounds like you might need to replace your pads and the PVC board.
You can get em both at MPC Stuff.
