noob question. qlink slider filter on multi intsruments

Hey, i just got my mpc 1000 today. And the first thing im doing will be upgrading to jjos2xl.

just a noob question; can i set the qlink slider to filter on multi instruments so it works on all the notes im playing? im just messing around on the standard akai OS and it seems like it only gets assigned to one note at a time. (eg it says assign pad: A01, but i want it to work at the same time on all of them - like on a synth)

im basically seeing if i can use the mpc 1000 like a synth and make interesting synth 'pad' style sounds using the adsr's and controlling filter cutoff live using the qlink. Is this type of thing feasable using jjos 2xl? or should i just stick to drums ect when using the mpc.

qlinks can control individual pads or all pads on os1 and os2 .

qlinks controls all pads only on osxl.. but it does not alter simulted pads (which can be used as a work around if you dont want a particular pad effected by a qlink)
