I may try this out. Looks nice and basic..just the way I like things, and I can export the tracks as WAV, probably the most important feature for me since I hate sync'ing/tracking out beats. At $149, we really can't complain off the price..we've spent more on hardware and been disappointed. $149 will barely buy an SP-202!

I wouldn't sell mine for $149, and if I did I wouldn't buy this piece of crap!

see thats the thang (lol) i aint used it yet but can tell its a fun machine sometimes other methods are not as quick to get ideas down, and when shit is direct as is with the beat thang u can get more creative and be more prolific.

 ish is wack thats just imo i mean why would anyone leave what they using to switch to this that just means they dont know wtf they doing on they own gear so why even switch im not saying this to anyone in particular but seriously like rockwilder he acting all amazed that he can make beats for days thats bs he act like he cant do what he's doing on what he was previously using or will be secretly using since this is obviously just for advertisements. this is the same exact thing as fl studio with a different interface to pump up the younger crowd and attract a million beatmakers theres reason, fl studio, logic, protools, ableton, cakewalk, all these software will do the same exact thing as this but have proven over the years to be solid unless like this new software that people are acting like its something special i mean this is even posted in my local craigslist  just shows what they are trying to do get money from young crowd and fill up the internet with a bunch of "two finger" beatmakers or someone who thinks they chopping like a mpc and playing some wack sample flip with plastic drums but again thats just my opinion i stick to what i use and i bet i can do anything this software does with what i have and no hassle, unless i was lazy to actually learn my equpitment and switch over thinking it would make things easier.

no one is saying they gonna switch, it is a tool just like anything else, i like exporting what ive worked on in the thang into reason and record and getting a lil more into it, there is no way anyone would dump everything they got 4 this homie, hahaha,. also its not that damn easy to make a beat with the thang, its just like anything else, it actually chops alot like a mpc, chops way better then my 500,. i dont think anyone should just produce beats with one thing, the more tools you can use together the more diverse you can be, and thats my 2 cents

course rocwilder can do the same things on his previous setup as he is doing on the virtual, and yea there is nothing the virtual does that cant be done on other setups.

as mentioned the key is the interface and featureset allow u to do shit quicker, like i know the mpc inside out enuff to make beats fast but with that setup it would allow me to work how i wanna at a quicker speed still.

any have more fun while working

"just means they dont know wtf they doing on they own gear"

Not true at all. My reasons for wanting to switch are mainly because (1) exporting tracks to WAV makes recording beats 1000 times faster. (2) broken volume knob on my 2500 and can't find the part to replace it *out of stock* (3) jittery fader on my 2500 (5) rotary knob starting to act up (5) USB-1 makes backups slow (6) when traveling, I'm tired of hauling a big azz bag and hoping I bought the right cables, memory cards, etc.
Notice..none of the above reasons have nothing to do with knowing how to operate the MPC.
I'm not big on software AT ALL.. in fact, I hate it, but the truth is these newer MPC are made like schyt ever since Numark bought Akai. Not to mention, these newer MPC are nothing more than re-hashed technology with different badge names. The 1000 is basically a 2500..the 2500 isn't that much different from a 5000...you can buy a used 1000 for $400, or you can spend $2000 on a 5000, and STILL have the same problems I'm experiencing. I love my MPC just like anyone else, but the truth is Native Instruments "Maschine" and Beat Kangs (corny azz name) are doing things that Numark/Akai should have done YEARS ago, or built a drum machine with features that a 3rd party programmer (JJ) shouldn't have to do. MPC1000 released in 2003 is spec wise the same as the MPC2500 released in 2006! C'mon son! They purposely dumbed the 1000 down from the very beginning. I still don't see a reason why an MPC2000 can't have 2000XL capabilities, but that's another subject.
I wouldn't spend my money on another hardware MPC, and have no reason to spend more money on older MPC that's don't have the capabilities of what I already own. Will I make a switch to the Beat Kangs? Who knows..but I will make a switch to anything that works for me. The fact that Beat Kangs offers a trial (didn't realize that) is more reason some of us should "try" it before disliking it. I might hate it, but I have to try it first, and dislike it later....in THAT order.. :)
