as far as i know it has MAX memory.... sampletime is max 5 sec. and memory seems to be around 1-1,5 i think

yes, i am doing the speed up pitch down thing allready.... also cutoff ends but getting very fast to the limit when theres some actual melody sample involved

jus messing around anyway for now... getting used, waiting for ASR Scsi cable to get going

hmmmmm checked again.... my Memory is 1 mb

shouldnt it be 1,5 as maxed ?

Maybe it's time to buy an rack sampler like Akai s950, s1000 or even s3000 for the mpc 60? (your mpc is so alone... buy her a nice man like the s950,1000 or 3000) :D

she isnt alone

the ASR 10 is around... thats really absolutly ALL i need in matters of samplers, there IS also other coloring Gear besides samplers, you guys know that do you

i got my setup complete now, and its time to rock

anyway, got the OS deal fixed now, somehow i didnt realise what all that update offers compared to the old OS before i had my hands on the old OS

allready that erasing sequencer data everytime i sample is crazy

but anyway, it seems i have 1mb RAM

that is not maxed right?

max ram on the mpc 60 = 1.5mb (26.2 seconds of sampling time)

Open her up and check to see what kind of ram upgrade you got. (official or unofficial)

It comes with 750kB sampling memory (13.1 seconds), upgradable to 1.5MB (26.2 seconds) (expansion card: EXM003)

i bought it with the description "memory upgraded" (it did not say maxed to be precise)

hmmm ok i checked again... so the SEQUENCER Memory is a different story you say

in that case i ve some 767 or so kb Sound memory  got JACKED!!!!!

great, where do i get he Ram chpis now... seem to be nowhere available?

k thanks.... but first i need to take a look inside... but i dint have the right key here to open the faceplate...
By sequoia1232 Sun Dec 20, 2009 5:51 pm
Ummmm? All you need to do to open the 60II is remove the 3 large screws from each side, the screws on the back holding the case on, and the screws under the front lip. Standard phillips screwdriver. Then gently open the unit front first, as you would a car hood. Be careful because there are wires attaching the front panel. Its never a good idea to power on a machine that you know has loose parts inside in the first place. Good luck finding your memory board!

oh okay thx... were somehow assuming its the top plate with the 4 special screws....

right now restoring my last 1k project to ASR 10 and mpc 60... samples to asr drums to 60... just realized that i could allready save on the asr by removing the CP from the disk

Those hex screws on the top mount the control panel to the chassis. Don't worry about those right now.

got another mpc 60 Q

in the 60 bible above i ve read that people are using tricks (pads with silence on them etc) to get the one pad stops the previous pad effect, wich of course can be very helpfull when arranging...

now on the 3.10 OS description on Linns webside it says:

Voice Restart for "Sound Stuttering"
Sounds may be set to restart when a single pad is played repeatedly, for "sound stuttering" effects. Also, sounds may be set to stop when finger is removed from pad, and any sound may be programmed to stop any other sound (choked cymbal stops ringing cymbal).

so i am confused.... isnt this what the above mentioned trick is trying?

or is that just for ppl on the 2.12 OS ?
