How many play 4k with (OFF1/96) resolution?

Took a long break from my mp 4, and now that Im back, I appreciate it a great deal more

It`s all good Ice waiting for the updated OS coming out this month plus I`m moving to a new crib with a bigger lab. I hope my cable connection up to par. Gotta surprise the neighbors with crazy beats.

That the off(96) (10) is dope yes indeed,,, but let me stress that no qaunatization is better...

As in terms of feel.. OFF is the way to go...

If you still want that mpc groove 0ff(96) is your style...

And with the metrenome off yes it even improves more and more and you notice the metronome now became your foot Tapping...

I would Use 0ff(96) Drums- Kick, snare, hi hat.......
Late shifted 1 Early Shift 2---Early 5 or late 5.. or 15...Give s the hihats a feel like the go on and off the beat just slightly giving it more groove...
The piano I would use no qaunatization- off --I never use any on pianos cause they can either be exactly on time or just lazy accompaniment. And pianos do alot of 64 triplets rolls that dont sound natural in any qaunatized medium..

Samples----I stress Using 1/8th qauntization if your using loops..
But if you are using one shots be my guest and get freaky wit it..
The crazier the better..
I mean only when I hear a beat chopped and thrown out at me so different from what I was expecting.. Then I think damm how did they get so funky with the samples and stay so boombap rigid on the drums..

Also Theyre are these MIDI Drum pad type things that Go around your legs and you use your legs to drum sitting down..
There like 5 dollars... Just cheap roland pads that work great...

I trigger my kick and my snare through them each one on my thighs...

Then a trigger pad on the back of my wrist for the hi hat..

It gets you into a groove like no other...
..

Mostly, I get the best results with TC OFF, although this may be a long way to go until
the rhythm "sits".

I bumped this thread to bring tips back to the thread and yeah off is as natural as one can get. As Freedom and others stated for the mpc feel like the 2xl, 3k, and others then the 1/96th resolution adds that little difference for that. For pianos and keys all off is the way to go. Freedom points out at the 1/8th to lining up one shots, and stabs which i sometimes do.

Main thing is to retain one`s feel. Thanks to all who continue to post tips and add more to the forum.

yup just turn quantizing off
Most of the time I use Timing correct off (1/960) to get a more natural feel.
Just whatever feels right at the moment

wow that long ago and it seems like yesterday. It was one of the first one`s I dug up for newcomers I figured jointed after the christmas holiday.

seemed so fresh..

I like to roll wit quantize off, I like the 960 res...but 96 can get a lil funky at times
