Thoughts on iphone's Beatmaker?

What Beatmaker CAN do it record audio in through the iphone mic.. ridiculous portable scratch pad.

I have lots of love for beatmaker. Sample transferring has gotten better for those of you having problems a while ago.

Also, fingerbeat is a decent app for crafting beats on the go. I don't love all of the sample templates but you can make your own.

With the upcoming tablet computer iSlate the keys controllers and everything else with already be built in. Plus a tablet comes with usb 2 or 3 giving access to soundcards and midi outputs.

Beatmaker is my favorite tool for quickly making beats on the iphone/ipad. I love that you can quickly go in and out of different step resolutions in the step sequencer and how you can loop any section of your pattern while working by just dragging along the timeline.

To me the tablet PCs are moot - the whole draw for people to Beatmaker and apps of the like is the size and portability. If I could have these apps on a tablet, I might as well just get a laptop.

This looks cool, but I'm talking about accessing and choppin up songs I have in my iTunes library,, that have transferred to the itouch/iphone. Is that doable?
