MPC 1k

can anyone help me out here.. i have the 1K jjosxl.. i am looking for a good method to sequence my tracks out into a daw for better edit and sequence capabilities.. what hardware software should i invest in.. or should i just upgrade to the a bigger MPC.. any help would be appreciated..

There are a ton of recording software programs out there to fit your need. Its a matter of having a decent computer, a good interface, etc to get the results you are looking for. I could name a ton. What's your budget? Your MPC will do just fine no need to update if you can't even get the results with the 1k. No offense you just need to take it one step at a time and you will be fine. There are a ton of tutorials and videos on Youtube. I suggest go to a Guitar Center(if applicable) or music store near you and check out what they have as well as use the available free online resources. I have been away from this site for probably a year or more. I don't make beats anymore but I do know for sure your problem has a solution.

im willing to spend no more than $1800.. i have a MACBOOK PRO and a HP just brought with 8MB ram pretty loaded.. i seen all the you tube vids. i am considering the MV8800 due to its software style VGA deal.. but i hear its pretty slow.. and i except Akai to improve the 5K software soon.. but im so comfortable with my MPC1k.. i basically just want to track out my beats.. all 6 outs with the 1K and record into a good software.. any recommendations..

Im a pro tools head. I would pick up a Digi003. Use 1-6 on the 003 for the 6 outs on the MPC. You can also connect the SPDIF out of the 003 to the SPDIF in on the 1k and sample off reason or any audio source directly into your 1k...without conversions or loss of quality.

the 003 looks pretty good.. i also looked at the Tascam FW 1884 it comes with cubase.. i like the fact that its expandable.. anyone have any experience with it.. its a control surface and those motorized faders look sick..
