No floppy device !!

I instaled the card reader in my Akai mpc 2000xl, and I have a problemm ...

The procees I made after hard instalation ...

1. Instaled the sistem 1.2 by SCSi in cd reader ...
2. Format in the pc by FAT de compact flash memory (Sandisk 2 gb ULTRA II)
3. Put in the memory the samples ...
4. Put the memory in in card reader
5. Star the Akai...

when I pres load SHIFT F3, the akai said ...

No floppy device !!!!

What it´s me problem??? ....

after Shift F3 ??

Lampdog, I press Shift+3, then Setup tab, but only appear to startup on FLOPPY, SCSI, or F-RoOM, don´t appear ATAPI !!

Wtha dou you think it´s my problem??

Have you contacted MPCStuff for assistance? You got the card reader from them, right? I'm sure they will help you figure out the problem.

the cable of power I only have 2 color, black and red... the other black and yellow it´s cut..
is this a problem??

Maybe a picture of your mpc ?

If you have OS 1.20 installed then the only other culprit I know is the the jumper setting isn't set to Master. Also, I would recommend you to format your CF card in the MPC when/if you do get it working.

If it isn't set to Master, then set it to Master. These IDE card readers only work when set to Master.

I do not understand how to put in Master ... sorry ...
