Diggers what needles do u USE?

this probably has been asked, but..........

im goin for some fresh needles....i was opting for the "shure white labels" or the "ortofon concorde:night club" .......or something from ortofon, not sure which one though. maybe something with an elliptical stylus.

what would you get?

not eliptical stylus but shure m447s are the ish. never ever skip, big sound.

Shure M44's... I'l second that... Awesome needles for scratching sampling and the whole nine yards...

Word, i also rock M44's, but there are better needles for sampling. If you ain't gonna be doing a lot of backcueing and scratching and all that, maybe stray away from the dj market and look at an audiophile needle. Sorry i don't have any specific reccomendations, that audiophile market is bugged. I mean, look at this turntable!:

cool....yeah i was thinking audiophile but then i dont wanna have to baby my needle ya know? cause i always stop the ish, when searching for samples, i put the needle up and down, up and down, and i reverse and back cue.......i dont really scratch, but i dont wanna have to be worried too much about **** up the stylus....so i was thinking higher end mix needle.

get some ortofons to sample from. I have the nite club and they sound nice. they can also handle backquing and scratching. I have the 44's also and they're only better b/c they are LOUD. they don't produce a cleaner sound.

I got Shure V15VxMR (audiophile) but the price is kinda 400 for one.. i would recommend Shure M97xE (audiophile) the price is between 120 and 150 for one... you wouldn't ask for anything else after this...

seriously? cool, i was looking at those, but i was unsure......I got to thinking that i would worry about destroying it cause its not a dj needle per say, so back cueing could be a problem....

thanks....ohhh, do you back cue with the V15VxMR or do you lift and go back?

i have a ortofone concorde needle, but i dont use it... i still use the cheap ass one i bought when i got my turntable... i dont like a real real clear sound.. and thats what the ortofone gives u..

haha, thats the same one i use... and yes i still use it for the grittiness.

i got the same needle that came on my sanyo turntable/tapedeck when it came out in the early 80s. I dont even clean the dust off the needle thats the truth
