Does the 2000xl(floppy version) need startup disk?

I use to have a 2000xl Mcd so I dont know about floppies and now I will be using a floppy version of the 2000xl....will I need a startup/boot disk


I checked the manual via Pdf but im assuming I dont need the disk since I dont see it anywhere in the manual...is this just for the 2000 classic?

should already have the OS installed, unless its new....in which case it should already have an OS installed

The XL boots from internal ROM, the Classic boots from external device (floppy, IDE, SCSI media).
