$350-$450

if you see anyone trying to sell one for 700 or 800, I don't know who they are foolin (unless it is the blue one)

(To original poster) You don't specify where you're based. I can tell you that in the UK, if you're selling a 2000xl in good condition for just under £ 300 ($400) it'd go pretty damn quick.

depends on condition and what features it has. A stock MPC 2000xl with a fuxed screen, dont pay more than 300 for, cause u gonna have to manhunt that screen. But a good one with good screen, 8-outs and decent shape would be 5-700 easy. Add an eb-16 or an MFC-2, your lookin at 8-900 USD

wow... guess the sarcasm went right over your head... lmfao

My statement was in reference to the many other noobs that ditch their 1000 for the MPC that Kanye uses because it will make them sound like a Pro if (insert your favorite producer) uses it... in other words it was a joke

I've always wanted a 2000xl, the reason i ended up getting the 1k was because i got a great deal. I figure before i spend another $200 on a pad upgrade, i could just sell it and just about break even coppin a 2kXL.

and there was me thinking the 2xl was comming from a different era.oh shucks.!!asr x,akai 2k and emu s and kurzwiels ect ect ect.software was only sampling midi infomation then!!differnt look differnt feel. hey it even smells different.same materials and processor, pads, engineers??who cares?me.i would choose this over a new machine all day long.........i can smell the sound  (ps cool heff-why do you feel the need to be condesending to supposedly newbies?)answers on a post card please......lighten up yall

Before you make that move just think of the common problems of the older machines and up keep. If your screen goes or already have lines in the 2000XL you would be hard pressed to find a new one and cost over $300 for a replacement anyways. Trust me bro you have a good machine with the 1000. Do you have jjos? Ultimately it's up to you, but I would make the most out of having an MPC 1000.

WHAT? I have both, and beats sound the same in both machines. There is no magical beat processor in the 2000XL that makes your beats sound better.

my 2000 & my 2kxl have the same "magical beat processor" so does my 1000

hmm maybe the 3000 has a different one
