mpc says insert disc when i power on

The unit powers on and says insert disc
idk what to do i berly bought it

try inserting the disk

2000 needs boot disk the os not stored in the unit's memory when turned off.. need to boot from the disk

2000xl has an os boot chip onboard so should not have this issue

We will make you an MPC2000 Classic boot diskette for free. You would only have to cover postage but the diskette itself is free. Don't pay some ripoff on eBay who is trying to profit off a free os.
