no, that is the mpc5000 before they changed the name (with the goal of making the 5000 seem more flagship status like)

you dont remember the sig .gif flashing pic some dude here had that said "wakai 3500/5000" and it would flash between the numbers 3500 and 5000?

i forget who that was.

My buddy rick owned only one of 2 of those 3500 when they first came out he had it at his house and the guy from AKAI was there showing him how to use it when i went to buy my MPC60 from him.

Of course I remember that but I thought it was a made up joke.

my favorite part was how when the MPC5000 first came out, there were still screens within the OS and parts of the original manual that still called it the MPC3500.

Funny Even Akai knew the "3500" Wasnt going to be better the the 4000.

just blazes rant about how horrible the 5000 was he mentioned akai should have named it the 3500 instead of 5000 since it was inferior to the 4000..
