the only thing i would think of is bad disks. orrr there write protected and i dont know what mpc you have or format they are but unless you have a 60 there probably hd and the eps only takes dd disks soo you either need to get some or you need to run the risk and throw some tape over those holes

word thats what i ve been told too, i just have to pick up those ds dd's ,at least for the time being, thanks i appreciate it

when saving banks do you do each one individually or it saves evry bank with the first bank u save? how do you do ther banks it wont let me it ask me if i want to replace the old one which is the the one i just saved right?


i got that tape to work on this disk for the timebeing i'm using this till i can get to the store and find some. thanks

a bank consists of all loaded instruments.

therefore, when you load a bank, you wipe out all sounds already loaded, so there is no way to load several banks, so there is no reason to save them that way.

i figured it ask to save bank after you save one but i guess the first instrument bank has all info ?!
so does it matter what bank you save?

it matters what it is named.

that is it.

It is preferred to name instruments something, so you dont have several SOUND1's in a common save location. so your bank load loads the wrong one.

ok, but heres what i did i named my instrument drumlop and then saved it,saved the bank next,turned off the machine and went to load it again,it didnt load the same way it only loaded the drum lop but not the rest of the sounds that i had ,like my piano sound and my voice sample.
ive lost those sounds but when i load it loads up the drumlop only,
i guess you have to save each indidivdual bank too. and they have to be named so they dont overwrite each other.

so then save each instrument & their bank then to get all my sounds back next time i play?

usually how many blocks do you use up on your disk when saving samples?
my blocks say 23(?) around there,in the manual it says that the disk will take up to 1600 but max with seq files and samples 1700.
can you sample in mono on these things, i cant find how to change that? i know you can change/convert the bit rate.

ASR will save as you have sampled.

if you sample mono, it saves mono.

save space? sample mono and use your pan.

but maybe in command wave there is a convert... most likely.
