if your not looking for portability, go for a desktop. i had a laptop and HATED it. hated it because it overheated a lot, battery power pi$$ed me off. had my desktop for almost a year now (Dell Studio 20" Vista 32) and LOVE IT. 6GB Ram 750GB HD, running Cubase 4, Sound Forge 9, FL8 and Audacity on it.

Thank you but since seeing this im still undecided im just going to run the basics for my studio recording like pro tools for my home sudio. And i was looking at both macbook and desktop i have alot of thinking to do.

a laptop is a computer which you can get in pc or mac your question makes no sense
