Is it possible to loop sequences??

Is it possible to loop sequences in the main screen??

lets say I have 4 sequences and I want to loop it like the following:

seq1=>seq2=>seq3=>seq4=>seq1=>seq2=>etc.

Can I do that??

go to song mode.

lay out in order desired.

then use your F buttons under the screen to convert song to sequence.

set destination to be an unused sequence.

but what happens if edit one of the sequences?? will the chach also be noticeble in the new sequence??

it should if you haven't converted the song to sequence

What I want is to use Cubase 5 for voice recording and the mpc for the beat..
I'm synchronizing using midi in song mode of the mpc.

but actually I don't want to use song mode, I want to use the mainscreen..

So I was hoping that it was possible to sync between Cubase and the sequences on the mainscreen..

I would find it so easy if I could loop the sequences on the mainscreen during playback of sync (cubase & MPC)
because if I notice that I want to change a specific part of the beat I just have to jump the editor screen and make a few changes and than go back to the mainscreen. and play again.


So what I want is for the mainscreen to do the folowing during playback:

seq1=>seq2=>seq3=>seq4=>seq5=>seq6=>etc.

Can I do that??

Of course you can! Just switch sequences manually...

I know I can do it manualy but I would like it to be auto..

I'm exporting to cubase when the project is nearly finished..

There is very little "auto" with the MPC, but there are always workarounds. You've just got to decide exactly what you want and the best way of getting there.

For example, you say you want full control over the individual sequences yet don't want to switch sequences manually. Makes very little sense if you think about it...

I know but its much better to explain what kind of workflow I want to achieve..

A kind of 'background song mode' could be useful, so maybe put it in the feature request thread.

no it wont change. you would have to re-convert song to sequence.

be clocked to cubase tempo.

create song.

if it needs to loop, stop the song where it should start over, and cut and paste to grid

Your question is retarded for the following reasons:


1. you can stop or start your mpc at any point in song mode, while having your 1000 slaved to MTC.
~~~~~~therefore, you could stop at bar 44.3.00, and mute a few tracks, and start recording for one quarter bar, and then unmute, and keep recording from and beyond 45.1.00.


TIME CLOCK SYNC~~>>> READ IT< LEARN IT< LOVE IT.



B. what you are doing can be done by cut and paste in cubase

4. what you are doing is the same as song mode, you just have to do it twice.

Z. im pretty sure if you get your shiznit straight first, then track out, you will be A-OTAY.


67. convert song (seq1, seq2, seq3, seq4 etc....) to seq... turn loop on... DONE.
