I serched google, Ableton.com, my country's forum and here, but I couldn't resolved these problems.

And I'm poor at english, so hope to someone help me here.

I setted

in mpc3000:

====TEMPO====
Tempo:120.0 Tempo source:SEQUENCE or MASTER
====Disp mode====
BPM/FPB:BPM Frames:30 DROP

====Sync In====
Mode:MIDI CLOCK
Sheft early(ms):0
MIDI Input:1(connected)
Song Pointer:ON
<Sync In=ON>

or

====Sync In====
Mode:MIDI TIME CODE
Frame:30
and turn on WAIT FOR KEY

and

====Sync Out====
port A
port A

in live8:

preference>MIDI/ports>checked sync in, out.
and click on EXT button.

My problems are,

1. in Live8(master)-mpc(slave) mode, Live won't play. when I click on PLAY button, light on but won't play.

2. in mpc(master)-Live8(slave) mode, when I play on mpc, the start point of Live8 changing randomly.
So I can't adjust recording start point.

3000 can't sync with Live8?

plz help me...I'll wait for your advice...thanx.

Do you want the MPC to be a "Slave" or "Master"? If "Slave" than you shouldn't set Ableton to to wait for an EXT (external) clock, which is what it is doing now, that's why nothing happens when you click the Play button. It will only play when it receives a clock signal. So if you hit Play on the MPC, Ableton will start running. Turn on "Sync In" on the MPC and set Ableton to send Midi Clock. That's all. This way the MPC will wait for the clock from Ableton.

Personally, I like the MPC to act as a master clock. When it's a slave, it can be a bit weird synced to a DAW, sometimes stopping etc.

I appreciate your answer.

After wrote that lines, I had success the setting that MPC(slave)-Ableton(master).

But, MPC(master)-Ableton(slave) was impossible. I couldn't resolved the random change problem of Ableon tempo.

Anyway, your answer was very helpful to me. THANX A LOT. THANX!

Which is why a tool like this one linked below was developed:

Demo videos of Abelton "actually syncing reliably" with other hardware are presented for example purposes ...

It's not that hard, I have my Live 8 synced as a slave to my MPC. just set the MPC to send MIDI clock out through one of the ports (A through D), then set ableton to receive MIDI in to one of your interface's ports so Live can catch the MPC's time clock using the "EXT" button on the software.
