This is very easy and quickly done on the 2000XL....
I just wanna record a pitch change on a snare, not the entire beat/program!
First make sure you have OS 1.71. Go to qlink setup on your left and press it. Next look at the bottom and you will see
send button press it. The next page you will see Transmit : Q event knobs and sliders, you highlight one of the parts 1-6 and
change it to pad control with your wheel. Now you have the pad control window with volume, pitch, cutoff, att and etc. Hit the pad want to control and turn the assign window to the parameter you want. Go back to main page and adjust it as the sequence plays or before as you like.
Now, here's my question:
I've done this and it works fine, but, I've realized that if I change to another track that is assigned to a different part, the qlink knob or slider will also affect the pitch of the sound assigned to the same pad in that part.
I tried going into setup and, on the receive page, set the part option to the exact part that the sound belongs to, but, I'm still getting the pitch change on other parts when I change tracks.
Also, the effect change is occurring whether or not I have the active button lit.
Any suggestions at all would be appreciated. Also, if I do mistakenly make a change to a sound on a part that I did not tend to affect, how would I disable the change and have the sound return to it's original state?
Thanks again.
