need help! note variation dont work?

hy everybody,

i think my note variation fader is damaged. if i try to trim something the fader does not work. i put it up and down but the trim-window does not change it position. you know what i meen i guess. my english is not so good. do i need a new fader wich i can repair to the machine or do i need to clean the fader?

Make sure it doesnt work....
Then try cleaning it....
Then if it doesnt work get ready for some DIY

TRY on the trim window hold shift and slide the note variation...

can somebody tell me that its not a problem if the note variation fader does not work and that its not a problem to change the fader at all? so thats the info i need to chill and then to fix my problem!

You can do almost everything without the slider...

but it is handy!

Chill out... it is very easy and very cheap to fix
(easy is relative maybe)

DIY = do it yourself

all it needs is buy a new slider ($7 i think)
open the mpc de-solder the old slider and solder in the new one.

Some electronics shop or a friend familiar with soldering iron will do it in less than 5 minutes.......

and no, you don't really need it. I got by for years without it, and since fixing it, I hardly ever use it.
