Serato with MPC1000

For the life of me, I cannot get my MPC to map with Serato via midi. I'm using a USB to MIDI in and out cord, mpc1000 and a macbook pro with serato 2.1.1. Someone please help me with the settings on my MPC.

hook mpc midi out to midin in on your cable. You do not need to hook up the other side (midi out on cable) that's probably your problem.

Tried that. No midi signal. Have you personally used an MPC1000 specifically to control serato? Has anyone in this forum???????

maybe if you gave rundown of settings on mpc and serato it would help troubleshooting your problem..

ive got serato and a midi controller but ive never tried to use them together. but ive had a look and it seems pretty straight forward.

you need a midi interface of some sort. do you have one?

anyway, in serato go to setup then midi. in midi devices you should see your connected midi devices. hopefully your midi interface is listed there.

go out of setup, select midi then show midi panel and from here click the control you want to assign (set temp cue, set cue or whatever), move the knob or whatever you want to assign.
