Converting 5000 programs to 1000 programs without MPC 5k?

Is it possible to convert a program created in Program format mpc5000 to mpc1000 without an mpc5k?
I know the mpc can save in both formats I am just wondering if the mpc1000 will open programs created in the 5000 format and if there is any software out there that can load and or change the format of a program from mpc5k to mpc1k ?

thoughts ideas?

Also how long can the filename of a sample be in the the 2.5k?
I am getting ready to go from the 5000 to the 2500 but I want to be able to open up everything I made in the 5000 in my 2500.
