fast triming

for sum reason when i import my samples in my mpc some of them cut off early so i notice in trim mode that the end point is to early, i check the manual on how to set the end point and it says use the data wheel or enter anumeric value wit shift and numeric key,not sure how to apply the numeric value after i type in numbers and im not sure how to go make the data wheel move fast the thing took me 1948389 spins to move an 1/8 of an inch ,any help will be apreciated

I had originaly said to hold shift and use the note variation slider but then I realized this was in the 1000 forum.

if i understand correctly , just make sure you highlighted the end point value and press shift + left cursor.
You will move from the last number to the number before that and so on, so you can change thousands , hundreds or ten's etc...

Ok. First hit MODE-PROGRAM. Select your sample on the pad. Then hit MODE-TRIM. In the TRIM page move the arrows over to the "end" value. To move from 12345X to 12X45, you must hold SHIFT and hit left on the arrows. It moves you from ones, tens, hundreds, thousands etc... then all you have to do is rotate the wheel to move the numbers around. Its easy. also, you can hit the NUMERIC button, and while its flashing, type in the numbers on the pads. when you are done, hit NUMBERIC once more to finish. Thats it.

Also, in trim mode (i just figured this out yesterday) when you hit DO IT, you can rotate the wheel around to select different things like extract (zone editing) and what ever else...
