I have an external 100 MB SCSI Zip connected to my PC. The Zip disk within has some sounds. When I insert the 100 MB floppy into the MPC (3000), it says the disk must be formatted. When I go to format, however, it says the disk cannot be formatted:

"Attention! Hard disk format failure. Please check that the disk is turned on and properly connected."

Can anyone help me determine why this is happening and if I can still somehow use this Zip disk. If you need more information, just ask. Thanks.

What you can do is copy the sounds from the zip disk onto your PC hard drive. Then use MPC Editor to format the zip disk. It hybrid formats the zip disk so you can use it with both your PC and your 3000. Once you do that you can put the sounds back on the zip disk and load em into your MPC...
