New 3kLE and a few questions

Finally got a 3000 LE. #0711 Currently using a 1000 and Ive owned a 2000 and 60 before. Just got a black LE with flight case for $800. Of course the screen backlight barely lights up. I knew Id be buying another one. Went ahead and got the one mentioned in this thread:

Also grabbed 32mb upgrade off ebay. I need to order the Vailixi 3.50 http://www.mansell-labs.com/products.html and I was wondering about the Hard Burn option for system parameters, if many of you opted for this and used it a lot.

Last question I have is about internal flash drive. Is this still the best place to get them:

Or can a kit be put together pretty cheap by peiceing it together yourself?

I can't speak of hard burn as I didn't get this option. The MPC looks very clean and the screen doesn't look too bad. You may want to look at a IB-CRT board for VGA connect - it really is useful.

I can say that my experience with service from SCSI for samplers was nothing but first class and I am very happy with my MCDisk Spyrus.

When you install the new memory, make sure you remove that Mute Tech board (the small board bottom left).

Yeah the vga out would be nice, but the only one ive found is extremely expensive:

Yes it is very expensive. Its one of those things though - once you get it, you can never really go back to the built in display - I have poor eyesight anyway.

And I agree, it can get very expensive to upgrade the system. I think time saved using it translates that cost. The CF reader is really a game changer in that respect.

I went ahead and got the internal zip kit but Ill have to pass on the vga out for now. Now the waiting for the backlight, memory, OS, and CF drive begins. =) Id really like to find some replacement black LE sides but Im sure that will be tough.
