Thanks for that knowledge on the 24bit thingy I don't understand why they went 16 big 44.1 with the 5000, I won't be buying that. I will stay with my 2000XL and rock it through protools. Plus I have lots of tracks in my hard drive that is connected to my XL. Thanks guys.
Some have even tried to tell me being I have an Akai MPK88 I should get rid of my MPC2000xl to just rock the MPK with Record. DARE TO DREAM! I am not getting rid of my MPCXL that is like the worse advice!

This is my set up. :D

want to use quarter inch going through my O2R and then from there litepipe out to my 003Rack. I want to stay in a digital domain.

good logic.

I use my lightpipe in on my 003 for my mackie onyx 800r

I run a tascam m-520 with 8 bus channels out to the 8 (db25 line in) xlr's... then let the onyx do the A to D conversion...

It sounds sweet.

keep in mind... what does your A to D conversion is WHERE you get your sound quality.

everything will be 24 once it hits protools... it matters how it gets there, however.

Oh ok, real nice bro. You are doing it just like me just different equipment. I can run 8 simultaneously tracks out my MPC/O2R into Protools. Now I am going to keep my set up you gave me an idea to only rock 2-4 bars because I was tracking out the whole track and to render each track in PT down to disk is like time consuming. So from now on I will track in my 4 bar realm then from there render to disk in 24bit which shouldn't take long being every track is in 4 bars then bring it into Record and stretch it out from there and arrange there. Thanks.

I like how you are working that's dope. What I really like about that 003Rack is that the inputs have D.I. boxes on them because a D.I. box for each sound module I have would be expensive and more room tooken up. So my sound modules sound bananas when I record in PT or Record.
