Whatsup guys? Wondering how it is possible to sample from my netbook into my MPC. I had a line out to 1/4th which I plugged into the Left Mono audio input on the MPC and I could faintly hear what was playing through my computer on the MPC. It was extremely, extremely faint though. I'm not sure what the problem is.

I'm using a Dell Mini Inspiron 1010 and I plugged the cable into the headphone jack on my inspiron so I'm not sure whether plugging it into the headphone jack was wrong, but thats all the mini inspiron offers.

there are a few options

Image 3.5 to 1/4 stereo trs

Image 3.5 to rca, connected to a mixer

Image cheap usb interface connected from dell to mpc, with rca to 1/4 stereo cable

using a 3.5 to a single 1/4 cable into the left input is just mashing the original left+right signal, making it mono, and spreading it to both speakers..

yeah the headphone output is a stereo output (ie: one single jack that does the left and right on the same jack... it has three contacts on the actual jack..) and the mpc has seperate left and right inputs... (two seperate jacks that each have 2 contacts on the actual jack.)

also make sure the volume on your computer is up...there are a lot of places to set this (in each program, in the control panel, on the front of the computer, etc, etc...)
