software synth/instruments

Hy all

After sampling a lot from old records (classic style hip hop beats) i started to to house music as well. (its fun)

As i feel limited with just sample sounds from records i thougth about sampling from a software keyboard /synthesizer as i dont want to buy a hardware keyboard / synth.

The software should have a virtual piano, where I can press a key (in the software) and record diffrent instruments/sounds in diffrent tone pitches to the pads. I dont want midi.(dont want to be hooked to much to the computer) I just want to record instruments / sounds to the pads and play it like a piano.

Any reccomendations of a good software keyboard/synth with many many sounds and instruments and fx?

What do you think will match my needs?

wow already 11 views and no idea? I want to have a cool software with sounds / keyboards / chords... Where do you sample from? Everybody still using hardware? Any ideas please

I just copped the Arturia Analog Factory Experience. A cool software synth that sounds really really good... but there aren't really any "Standard" keyboard sounds. I think we may need a bit more info on the sound you are looking to create before we can make accurate reccomendations...

Thx.. Arturia Analog Factory Experience looks cool. I just dont have any need for a controller as i want to record to the mpc pads from the computer. Otherwise it looks like the thing im looking for.

I want something that can generate all kind of sounds. From the classig keyboard sounds/instruments like fluts, guitar to cool elctronic fx, chord synth and sound effects. The more the better. As much possiblities, settings as possible

Its hard to say how i want to sound in the end as i want a hudge pool of sounds to play with. Its for electronic music. I prefer to sample records to produce hip hop beats.

Is there any affordable state of the art software with a piano interface for that kind of need? Cheers Carlo

google for those + 'free vsti synth' (on windows) or 'free audio unit synth' on os x

but honestly, my personal favorite is buzz (www.buzzmachines.com)

yes native instruments is maybe the way to go. komplete 7.

Is that maybe too much for my need? Is it worth the price?

no it would not because you aren't making music on the computer. however I would suggest kontakt which comes with komplete (komplete is just a collection of NI pluggins all in one purchase)

kontakt is their sample player that comes with many high quality instruments... pianos, organs, orchestra instruments, etc... all that, even some synth sounds. Also, almost every key on kontakt uses a seperate sample to prevent you from needing to pitch too much.

ok.. that means as kontakt and complete dont have a hudge price difference i maybe buy komplete. If i prefer to sample on the mpc than instead of kontakt its just up to me. not?

Sample tank is epic and huge. XL includes sonik synth and philharmonic. Its about 8 gigs of stuff. Peep it out at IKMultimedia. Its nice.

yeah komplete gives you a deal.. what you would be best doing is getting an old cheap version of kontakt which still has like 4 dvds of samples.
