MPC freakin OUT! need Input plz help

i was making a beat today, and while i was pounding away on the pads my mpc started freaking out.
when i hit a pad know ( pad 1 - 8 ) it dosent trigger the sound its suppose to..

for example

when i hit pad one it will triger pad 6...
i hit pad one again it triggers pad 3...
hit it agin it trigers pad 8
hit it agian it trigers pad 1..

my pads 1 - 8 out of of no where started trigering random PADs in the middle of a beat making process

i tryed reseting hte mpc holding down erase.. no help

i tryed opening up the mpc and checking the pad itself no go..

did this happen kus I hit my pads to hard?! it sucks kus it really feels like my mpc just died

..

those anyone have any info they can help me with? it would be much apreciated

Which MPC model? 2K5?

Sounds like a problem linked to the pad sensor to me.
If you're not afraid you can disassemble your MPC and check the connections.

its a mpc 1000,

the way you explain it makes me feel like its repairable, maybe i can call a mpc reapir guy they have a couple in NY.

i think it happened from hiting the pads to hard for to long and it just gave in after one point, thats really the only explanation i can come up with

Do you know if you have the old style pads or the pad fix?

iv bin rockin this mpc with no problem for the last 3 years
its one of the newer black models so i dont have the old pad

my mpc just literly broke on me.. pad 1 to 8 you have to hit real hard for them to response and when you do.. there triggering other pads

I've never heard about that problem on a 1k with the pad fix.

I've seen it once on a brand new mpc2500. I think it was a problem with the pad sensor.

There's a small PCB under the metal frame where the sensor sheet is stuck. It might be faulty.

You can check mpc-stuff video on the pad fix to see how it is mounted.

open the mpc.
disconnect and reconnect all cables to the pad fix,
and check if there s a short circuit somewhere.
maybe it helps.

i turned my mpc on the other night and for some wired reason it was all back to normal! mpcs act so strange!
