Vinyl Junkie,

I see you got a Novation Bass Station. I used to want that keyboard version so bad. I saw Cassius with an Akai S950 and one of those and always wanted one. To this day I still haven't seen one. I've played the rack, but very nice rack. The Zoom is a nice piece. I have a Quadraverb which I should bring back from the dead. Thanks for posting.

Thanks, the BS Keyboard was my second ever synth...or can be put as my first synth I ever paid for. My first actuall synth was a DX-100 I stole from school arround 2002'ish, Bass Station cost me £150 used from a local music store arround 02/03..I just remember thinking wow this looks cool and has lots of knobs on it hahah I paid the same about a year ago for one again.
Never tried the BS Rack but a friend said it's not as good...Don't know how true that is as I have never used one to compare, the ones in the pic here is my second as I sold the original one ages ago...then I wanted it back again cos I miss it.
I call it the lead station.
Also just found these funny pics whilst looking for some things...these are from 2003, don't have the original pics but found this index card...that's my old rack; Akai S-2800, Waldorf Micro Q, Novation Drum Station..not in pic Korg M1 and DX-100
I guess working in McDonalds had it's perks at the time when I was 16 hahahah

The rack version is essentially the same as the keyboard (i have used both) except the rack has the added bonus of CV! so you can use it to midi up older pre midi synths

It also has a memory for patches (can't remember if the keyboard has that??) and you can use it as a filter.

Actually sold my rack version a few months back as just didn't use it anymore, it's a great little synth though, especially if you want that early drum and bass sound (it was a stallwart for that shit)

The Roland TR-626 is circuit-bent with an external patchbay. The 'trigger out' on the 626 sequences the Andromeda MK-4 analog kick drum (which is a DIY kit).

I hardwired an 1/8" audio jack to the IR sync input and it also triggers with my Boss DR-110.

Thanks Switch! I also have the Andromeda MK-1 and MK-2. I want to add 1/8" trigger ins on them as well since I find the IR sync to be unreliable. Now if I can find a device with multiple trigger outs, I'll do more with those 3 kits. :)

Sup guys Nice setups

I am new to the hardware side of the game, this is what im working with right now. When I get back to Japan I plan to setup one of my empty rooms with equipment. Right now im in Kuwait/Iraq deployed and while here again away from motorsports and martial arts, I got back into beat making big time.

I Just picked up this M-Audio Axiom 25 MIDI keyboard about 2 weeks ago. Also got my MPC in the mail yesterday. I'm loving the MPC already. In Japan as many of you know the Hip-Hop scene there is big ... so I am sure I can get some good deals on gear once back there.....new journey for sure.

I know that headphones are a no no.. but I have no other choice because we have to be quite when indoors. To bad I just found out about this soundproof booth we have... I could have bought some monitors here.
