Me, I don't care who uses what, as long as it sounds nice to my ears.

I can even recognize good sounding stuff when it isn't a style I'm into.

Mannie Fresh, I've hardly ever checked for him but I recognize he is a good
producer, great producer. I don't even remember the last time I've mentioned his name.

Yeah that 9th wonder video clip sums up my feelings as far as gear selection is concerned. It aint that im a manny fresh fan, I just have respect for anyone that is in it for the music and has paid their dues. It don't matter to me the style, or even genre. Good music is good music, and I respect anyone who puts time into their craft. I think its a sign of the times how concerned people are with who is using what and how they are using it. If you love music it will come through no matter what you use. After spending some time browsing through this forum more, I swear some of these cats are like gear groupies, its like they care more about what they using than the musci that comes out of it. AKAI is not helping things at all with these "new" mpcs, in my opinion they have succesfully robbed a whole generation of future producers. Here I go again, I have succesfully resurrected and hijacked this that nobody even looks at. Im going to post some advice in the Getting Started section about selecting your first piece(s) of gear.

i get what youre sayin and i agree.

you gotta have respect for all music even if it aint your style.

hiphop is the melting pot of music - it samples all types of music and doesnt discriminate against any type of music (literally and figuratively). you'd be hippocritical to'hate' a particular type of music and consider yourself a true hiphop producer.
