None of my keys are working

I just loaded some new sounds from my computer onto my card and loaded it in to my mpc. Everything was working fine and I even programmed a beat with the new sounds when all of a sudden all of my keys froze. The screen looks fine. But not one key works or the knob. Won't play or do anything.

I tried turning off and on, dumping the sounds off the card. starting with and without the card. Nothing seems to work. I just got this 2000xl last week and it seemed to be in perfect condition until now.

Im confused by your use of the word 'keys'. Are you sayin that the pads wont work? Or are you sayin the buttons dont work? If the function buttons work.. try going into step edit to see if your pads are responsive. If they arent you'll have to replace the sensors. If your buttons dont work at all... I dont know what to tell you. Try re-installing the OS.

yes, none of the buttons, keys, pads or the circular data knob work. basically nothing that i touch on the sampler seems to give any response. i also dont know how to reinstall the OS. I just bought this on Ebay, am new user. It was working just fine before. I seriously doubt I'll need to replace any sensors because its odd to me that when everything was working and now I can't even change pad banks, I spin the Data wheel and it doesnt respond and it won't play or record, i've tried open window, all the function buttons and shift, enter, etc. nothing.

Well it magically started working again as mysteriously as it stopped??? Don't know what i did, but I hope it doesnt happen again.
