Hello,

I want to sample the human voice pad on my casio keyboard and then use the mpc as a brain to play the sound on a midi keyboard. I can sample the sound no problem, the trick is I want to make it so the sample loops when I hold the keyboard down on the midi controller.

Basically I am dreaming on using the MPC as the brain so I don't have to bring this Casio on tour for one song. I have looked online and in the manual to learn how to do this but I can't find anything on this specific topic.

I have an MPC 1000 running JJos2xl ver 1.44.

Any assistance at all would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much.

Thanks for the reply's. It's a casiotone CT-360.

About looping the tail of the sample. I tried that and was able to create a perfect loop. In trim mode it works perfectly, I hit the pad, hold it, and the sample plays continuously. But when I put the sample in a program and play it that way it no longer loops. I tried it both with "One Shot" and with "Note On". Am I missing something?

Thank you so much for your help.

make sure that in the mpc program edit page, u set the sample to play as 'note on', that way when u play the note from a kbd, or the mpc pads, it will play and will loop until u let off the key.

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all of your help. With your suggestions, I was able to figure out how to sample/loop the casio into the MPC. Now I can use a midi controller instead of the Casio and I have full control over the parameters of the sound. It's going to make my live set up SO much easier.

I really appreciate the help. Cheers to the forum!
