Never realised that. :|

Yeah, for cutting edge board players, it's a 64 & 128 note polyphonic world we live in these days.

32 can be a big limitation on the 2500 using JJ... especially if you've got a few stereo cymbals with natural decays, plus samples and other drums.

So yeah, 32 isn't enough for this all singin' all dancin' Maschine.

emptysea, I'm gonna ask you politely because you're a cool dude.

We understand you have acquired knowledge of a certain product.

But please can you restrict your knowledge of that product to threads specifically about that product.

Although this is MPC forums we do allow discussion and debate about rival products.

You already know where those threads are, this thread is about the MPC4000 and Reason...

Yes, people have different tastes and needs. It's silly that some people get butt hurt about "rival products" being discussed.

No butthurtness....Just don't know why you're gonna school someone(me) on a product I already have....seems like overkill, huh? Get back to me when maschine can sequence more than 16 midi channels and we can have an actual fair debate where the 4k doesnt crush maschine....Ive used maschine no more than once or twice since i got my 4k, and i used the 4k to sequence it, 'nuff said right there.

Anyways I hooked it up with the 4k as a sound module, which was easy as pie, and I am extremely satisfied with the result! Reason it a beast! It is like a digital sampler, several synths, rompler similar to a motif etc, and much more. This goes so dope with the mpc 4k. Between this, the samples I have in my 4k, maschine as a sound module, ableton ,recycle, my m2k and my rm1x which I all required in the last year since i got into making beats- If I am not satisifed with this setup and can't make beats with it I should get the hell out of the game. I am sooo glad I went back and gave Reason a second chance....editing the synth parameters with my ms2k is so great it feels so intuitive. Long live the 4k baby: Bringing shiz back to life!

Have you noticed when you use alot of synths that some channel on the 14 channel mixer get cut off. Is it a polyphony issue or CPU? i have to click on S above the track to get the channel back it mutes for some reason(no pun intended). I have tried lower the polyphony on some instruments where i can but some of the line mixer channels cut off or mute in and out. Wierd
