I'd like to give them a benefit of doubt, but they don't give out any substantial product information at all! This beat Thang video looks like as they are selling sneakers or something... It gave me an impression that they don't want to talk about the product at all...
By the way, I think the way they are marketing Beat Thang is right way, since there seems to be nothing to talk about the product itself.
Best Buy exclusive? Right, I don't think outlets like Guitar Center, Sam Ash, and Musicians Friend would want to sell this, they have better things to sell...

Yes indeed.

I personally don't see this going anywhere especially at $1500. Haven't seen anything for me to push that kind of dough. I paid for the MV for that much but at least I knew what was in the box. This thing is the same as the software, just a hash of preset sounds and patterns that you mix and match.

Well, we don't know what it can do but i would bet that the graphics on them buttons will wear off and so will the buyers smile as he realizes them scam.

Exactly.

You can get all the sounds online if you search around, but I can't even be bothered to download them for free! I guess it's ok if you want overly glossy synthesised drums, but that's the shit that's killed Hip Hop for me.

I just think if you buy this you are throwing $1000 dollars down the drain before you've even opened the box. Imagine trying to get a refund off these clowns?!

Didn't Saint Joe get a prototype? The only thing I saw from that vid is when he just turned it on and the lights lit. Still no hands-on review of how it operates and how it would get a home in a studio.
