I took his C64 8850 samples which he posted here:

SID 8850 basic sample pack

...renamed them to <16 characters, made programs and looped the samples. I removed the samples which included release from the original pack. The noise samples are included but not in a program. You can find a .ZIP file with the samples and programs here:

I hope these work for y'all and ifso inspire you to share some of your programs/samples.

lov'em, thanks! but the samples appear not to be looped, and if i switch the loop on for them in TRIM mode, the loop settings are default (whole sample)
maybe you programmed em with a previous version? im on jjos2xl 2,21 (latest)

thats not good. Getting them to loop nice was half the work. I'm pretty sure the mpc is on 2.2x
I'll check in a few hours.

why not using a wave editor (e.g. soundforge) to set the loop points? its a lot faster than doing it inside the mpc.

i am on the latest osxl for the 2500 and it reads the samples which i prepared with soundforge just fine!

The only thing is that i work in OSX and soundforge is a sensitive subject.

damn. i just reopened the program and i've lost all the loops.

stoopid, cause i saved the PGM without samples and the loop info is stored in the sample not PGM.

update with loops will follow soon.

I moved to Mac recently and it's the one piece of software I miss.

i seriously don't understand why sony never ported it to osx. they'd do well.


The .zip file is updated and successfully reloaded with loops on my mpc1000. Some of the loop-points are a bit sketchy, especially higher up, but i'm presuming these will mostly be used for basses and arpeggios.

Thanks for sharing. I definitely appreciate that considering I had to sell my SidStation a few years ago.
