Why Do I Have to Reboot My MPC5000 Every Time I Change a Mid

I have been searching for a while now to see if there is a way to change the Midi Note in real time? I I have not found this problem addressed so maybe I am doing something wrong? I want to be able to select from the Mode/ Midi/ Note/. Let’s say pad 1 is 37 C1 I want to change it to 36 C1 when I change it I have to reboot the mpc for it to work How can I do this without rebooting?

I don't believe thats meant to be that way, if you're not running the current os I would update it

Yes I have the newest 2.0 installed I hope there is some easy thing

I have answered my own question I was in Program 1 that doesn't change in real time if I go to Program Off or another Program then it changes in real time!
