Fat pads ?

anybody got those care to comment

think there's about three threads floating around on 'em...from what I've read, they're worth the dough. Haven't used the myself yet though.

The ones in my MPD32 would be the same as the 2500 joints, MPCstuff says they just come with different sized corx. I've got regular black MPCstuff black pads in my 2500 and they feel fine with my preference settings on JJOS2XL. Now that you mention it though I should have tried them out in the 2500 before I cracked open the 32, just to check out how they felt. The MPD32's internals are pretty chintzy (pcb board clips etc.) so I'm reluctant to want to open it again. Basically I was only concerned with getting the 2 worst joints I had (1000,MPD32) up to par. I'm not sure it would be more than cosmetic on a 2500, and the overall thickness might be harder on the fingertips in long sessions.

yea but seems mostly people use them on mpds and 1000's have not seen 2500 sporting them yet..i've read all 1k reviews already

And a 4000, 2000XL, another lined lcd XL and an ASR 10, I'm not a sensible person. I'm really silly to have all these MPC's and never got a 3000 or 60. When I moved back here from SF, I had nothing to do (Buffalo's real ghetto and boring) so I just starting hitting Craigslist. All the MPC's were relatively cheap so I'd actually profit if I sell any of them. It's cheap rent out here, so I got a 3 bedroom all to myself. So I keep the 1000 next to my bed, maybe leave the XL on the coffee table etc. Obviously I only need probably the 2500 or the 4000, but when your catching deals like $800 4000's you can't resist. But no doubt, I got one of the most redundant studios you'll ever see.

That's totally how I feel every day

A lot of it is that I wanted all these joints when I was younger but couldn't afford them, so I'm making up for now that I'm older and have a little more money.

A lot of it is that I wanted all these joint when I was younger but couldn't afford them, so I'm making up for now that I'm olser and have a little more money.

i always wanted to have every model of mpc and dedicated mpc wall at home showcasing them all I cant blame ya for having few mpcs cuz I would have done the same thing...It was a good feelign to have 4000 and 2500 side by side for brief minute

Good stuff. I'm glad I found this thread as I have a set of these on the way from Mpc-stuff.com for my MPD32. So when these are installed in the MPD32 does the pad thickness equal to the 2500's pad thickness or are they yet a bit thicker than the 2500? I am a previous owner of an MPC 2500 and I like the pads but I'm hoping the thick pads are softer than the 2500's pads.

Yeah I started one of them LOL

i've got the pads but i ran into an issue. i also ordered a new jogwheel encoder cause mine sh!t the bed over a year ago. anyways after removing the case, removing the board, removing the old jog wheel encoder and soldering the new encoder to the board my case doesn't fit properly. the wheel is now real tight to the case. so tight that it's rubbing against the inside of the case and when i secure the case down with all the screws i can't move the wheel at all cause the fu<k!ng b!tch is too tight. i removed the case and took a look at the board thinking maybe the encoder was sitting too high and i need to resolder but that's not the case. the encoder is sitting right snug on the board. it also seems like all the buttons aren't quite sitting correctly in the case.

any ideas as to what the solution is? i may just start a new thread for this issue.
