Ez Drummer drums processed with Motu BPM's Sp12 algorithm

Wanted to get some opinions on the BPM "SP" algorithm. I've never used it and I figured it would be fun to do a little before and after test to see what it's capable of. I took a very dry loop from Toontrack's Ez Drummer hitting at about -8db and threw it in Motu Bpm, turned on the SP algorithm and turned up the drive gain to bring it pretty close to 0db. Normally I find that Ez drummer, by itself to be somewhat limited as to where I can apply it and until now I haven't thought to process these drums. This is the result.

does that algorithm also take into account the presampling pitching and the in the sp downpitching?

I wish I could answer this accurately but to tell you the truth I really don't know.

Nice!!! I have Battery 3 (with the SP1200 and MPC60 emulations) Tonight I am going to run some drums at a higher pitch through battery with the sp fx and sample them into my S3000. From the S3000 im going to pitch it back down and see the results...... Or...... Should i sample the the drum at a higher pitch first and then pitch it down with battery and then sample into the S3000?

I can't wait to hear these!!! I have Battery 3 as well so you'll have give details on the process.

DAM! That emulation sounded good! maybe better than maschines.It added grit to the drum loop.
