Dude, your soundin like an idiot here homes. Envisionelec hunted down a manufacturer, re-designed the IC systems, engineered custom programming for smaller resolution screens, and after tons of prototype testing finally sent em into production. Obviously you did not read the thread or you would've known how much work actually went into this project.
They are not refurbished or NOS screens, they are brand new, aftermarket screens with a completely brand new, more dependable design. But hate all you want, because obviously you didn't do your reading.

MAN YOU GUYS ARE SO OBVIOUS... IF ONLY YOU'D TELL PEOPLE THE TRUTH INSTEAD OF CREATING A BUNCH OF FONNYYY POSTS

Hey Tapuno i like the way you put that paragraph together, you seem to be well informed on this new product that will revolutionize ... you can fill that in..

any way here is what i read .... Envisionelec ... not to be confused with EnvisionTec...

envisionelec.net..... not to be confused with envisionelec.com...

with a cheesy site.... with some stock pics from web designers r us ...

... has spend how long??? ... and how much money??? ... developing this lcd screen???

I think you get the picture or at least anyone with some common sense will. Yeah I'm putting one with the other because that's what your customers that at least have a half a brain will do.

I'm sure they'll remove me soon from here or at least cover up my posts with some more cool tech comebacks

why is it so inconceivable that an independent electronics engineer did something without hundreds of thousands of dollars. Ever hear of a guy named Dave Smith? Bob Moog? Louis Fender? Les Paul? Roger Linn? NYM?

ohh yeah but clearly we're not on the same page... the "hundreds of thousands of dollars" part gave it away.

ok I see it got quite so let me ask you another question....

You stated earlier that Akai failed to do this, what is it that Akai failed to do that this independent electronics engineer (or we can just say his name, Aaron) was successful at?

I'll give you a hint, this is a trick question... and anyone can jump in on this post at any time because Tapuno may not know the answer to this

anyway I'm still sticking to my opinion ... i would rather use a used LCD screen for $150-$200 ... and NOT the CHEAP repro... and by cheap i don't mean the price because $160 for it is not that cheap

I really could quote anything you've said as evidence you're particularly dense, but your last one will do.

If you know the person involved in this project and have some concrete knowledge or evidence as to why his replacement LCD's are going to be a bad choice, spill it out. I doubt you can produce such evidence, as all your posts show far show you have difficulty comprehending anything.

So lacking evidence to back up any of the mess your talking, why is posting on this thread your new calling in life?

do they? Do AKAI or should I say Numark?
If we're talking bout quality here. What about AKAI LCDs that **** around after something like 6 or 7 years? What about MPC1000 pads (first series)? What about the bugs in the 2000 series? How can it be that converting the samplerate in a 2000xl take hours while converting the samplerate in my TX16W (a sampler that came out years before the XL) with the alternative OS (made by some "unknown" proqrammers) take 2 seconds?
What about JJOS? What about the buggy MPC 5000 (first series)
Companies dont spend sooooo much time and money in developing and research. They want to present and sell a product. Lets make money. Lets make it fast. "Oh there's a problem with this? oh and there are some bugs there? Its ok we put it out and it will sell for 700$ because of the features list. Lets make the buyer be an alpha tester. haha"

But I also are a bit disappointed about the price of the new LCDs. I wont pay 160$. I hoped it would be something like 99$. I think at this price the LCD would get much more sells.
