Hi Guys
I sold my perfectly working XL on ebay a couple of weeks ago. the buyer emails me and says the RAM (32mb on two sticks) isnt showing up. after a bit of back and fourth i agree to refund and he ships it back to me.
powered it on and indeed its showing as zero mb memory installed, go to the record in screen and the record soft button is missing. i thought maybe during transit the RAM got wiped (maybe it was near a strong magnet or something i dont know?) so i purchased some replacment memory, after checking on mpc2000xl.com for the correct type, stuck it in the MPC and still...no memory detected
whats up and how do i fix it? could this really have been the result of damage in postal transit or has the ebay buyer shafted me?
any insight would be greatly appriciated!
another thing, its not even showing the built in 2mb memory...i guess something is really screwed???
