I had a bad screen and got a used one and it's working just fine, did this for both the 2000 and the XL. and they were not the price of the whole MPC you must be comparing it to mpcstuff.com and like i said their prices are not realistic.

so.....hows the BeatWang sales goin Aja?
By mosdman Mon Aug 08, 2011 2:23 am
i dont know who aja is but the fact that you keep bringing up stuff about your employees let's me know you either are envisionelec or your are working together

branding is very important and this is not a good way to promote your new product. I may have actually bought your product when it would come out just to test it out and who knows maybe it would have been good but the fact that you're on message boards trying to promote in this manner is very cheap and makes people feel they are about to get scammed

post real facts and stop pretending to be other people

very good.

so your solution is????

as i said i DO NOT want to but a refurb screen, and i would imagine MOST other 2000 users wouldn't either.

your arguments are retarted. you diss akai for not doing enough testing on the screens, and yet you are happy to buy (2?) refurbed screen(s), UNTESTED regarding reliability issues.

you were not able to answer my main questions (which is VERY telling).

what is you problem with envision and what they are trying to achieve?

what is your alternative solution????????

who, me?

all i got is a bust up old mpc that my grandma's dog gave me, unfortunately the screens all scratched cos she could'nt afford to get his hoofs clipped, and this sh!tty old tape player that someone told me i should get cos it's the most superior mastering and tracking device EVER.

hopefully i gonna win that beat thang comp so i can be in the sallad beat club.

I have...well where do I start? As far as the production chain goes, I have a EMU Planet phatt and Vintage Keys rack module, Ensonique ASR-88, MPC 2000xl, Korg M1, WLM Hit combo organ, Yamaha Clavinova CVP-5, Logic 9, Reason 5, Presonus Studio One, buncha random instruments, a Hohner parlor guitar from the 70's, a Squire Indonesian p-bass I rewired myself and a Korean Fender Stratocaster I am currently rewiring. Still got a pair of Technic SL-1200's I am modding to replace the currently self rebuilt Stanton str8-80's I use to sample from. Also got me a Zoom SB-246, a Zoom reverb unit, a couple of Presonus blue tubes for that tube goodness for my keys, a Gretsch tube amp from 1957, and a Gretsch lap steel from the same year.

As far as vocals and recording go, well...I have 2 blueball microphones from Blue, a Sterling ST-50, a M-audio Luna, a Audio Technica at-2020, a Behringer C-3 and B-2, and a Shure Unidyne II from the 60's.
Every cable is currently Mogami or Monster zero oxygen copper wound with 24K gold plated connectors, or custom cabling (Mogami oxy-free copper) with Nuetrik 24k gold plated connectors.

I forgot to mention that I work on a Macbook Pro and Sweetwater Creation Station with 8 cores, and my monitors are Mackie mr6's and mr8's

I also have a MPC 2000 classic in the garage, along with a Kurzweil 201 and a Yamaha PS-30

Equipment also on the repair/modify list includes a behringer Tube Composer and Tube Ultragain, Behringer eurorack 32 channel powered mixer, and a Sweetwater Creation Station PC
